19.4The form of questions I recommend

Ask requirements as:

“When X happens, what should happen to Y?”

That's much better than:

“What are the requirements?”

For example:

“When the source changes a customer's phone number, should Salesforce always be updated?”

Then:

“What if someone manually changed the phone in Salesforce after the previous synchronization?”

Now you've uncovered data ownership/conflict behavior.
