16.36“Mule is slow” troubleshooting workflow

Suppose someone says:

Mule customer API is suddenly slow.

Do this:

1. Confirm scope

one request?
one endpoint?
all APIs?

2. Look at latency trend

when did it start?

3. Separate Mule vs downstream

Salesforce latency?
Billing latency?
DB latency?

4. Check error/retry rate

are retries inflating latency?

5. Check resource saturation

CPU
memory
connections
queue/backlog

6. Check traffic

volume spike?

7. Check recent changes

deployment?
Salesforce change?
network?

8. Trace individual request

correlation ID

That's a mature troubleshooting process.
