13.29MUnit 2026 detail

Current MUnit 3.7.0, released February 3, 2026, changed assertion failures to the native Mule error type:

MUNIT-TOOLS:ASSERTION_ERROR

rather than the older Java AssertionError behavior. It supports Mule runtime 4.3+ and current Java versions including 17 and 21.

You probably won't be asked this, but don't be confused if you see:

MUNIT-TOOLS:ASSERTION_ERROR

in recent logs/docs.
