Before selecting a Mule component, ask:

Are these operations dependent?

Does ordering matter?

Are the records independent?

Can the downstream system handle concurrency?

Can I batch instead?

What happens on partial failure?

Do writes need compensation?

Should one route failure fail the entire request?

Does this need to be synchronous at all?

Can retries produce duplicates?

Those questions matter much more than memorizing component names.
