6.39Pattern: fail fast

Sometimes partial success is unacceptable.

For example:

financial transaction

Requirement:

If any mandatory step fails, do not continue.

Then:

step A
 ↓
step B
 ↓
step C fails
 ↓
error

But note:

If A and B performed external writes, Mule cannot magically rollback arbitrary remote systems.

This leads to distributed transaction/compensation concerns.
