Production code needs to answer:

Which 57?

Why?

Can they be retried?

Were failures validation errors?

Were failures transient?

Do we move them to a DLQ/error file?

Do we retry the whole batch?

This is where your QA background is very valuable.

You should immediately think about:

record-level success/failure

not merely:
HTTP 200 means success
