3.13Null versus missing field

This matters in integration work.

Imagine:

{
  "phone": null
}

versus:

{}

Those may have different business meaning.

Especially with Salesforce:

field omitted

may mean:

don't change the current value.

Whereas:

field explicitly null

may mean:

clear the Salesforce field.

That makes conditional mapping important.
